|The Farm||Seeking tractor driver to complete TMR feeding for this sheep dairy unit. The sheep, a flock of 1000 ewes are Frieslands, Dutch in origin and the sheep equivalent of the Friesian cow. The ewes are fed a TMR diet throughout the year. They are producing milk all-year-around and supply their own creamery, where the majority of the milk produced on the farm is used to make yoghurt in a simple, natural process.
The flock are milked through a modern herringbone parlour, and housed in the winter in large modern livestock buildings.
|The Role||The role will involve working and operating machinery in and around the stock and sheep milking herd
|The Applicant||Seeking someone competent with telehandler, including telehandler certificate to complete TMR feeding, bedding up, mucking out buildings, scrapping out and pushing up silage and grassland work.
A vehicle is provided to travel between farms when necessary, so full drivers license essential.

Work pattern is based on a 6 day week, 1 day off. Working hours would start at 6:30am-8am followed by a 2 hour break and then 11am-6pm.
