Job Role	Pig Farm Operative
Location	North Tipperary
The Farm	We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Pig Farm Operative to join a progressive pig farming enterprise based in North Tipperary/Offaly. The successful candidate will play an important role in the daily care and management of livestock, ensuring high standards of animal welfare, health, and productivity are maintained at all times.
The Role	The key responsibilities for this job are : Daily care and monitoring of pigs across various production stages. Feeding, watering, and observing livestock to ensure optimum health and welfare. Carrying out routine pig husbandry tasks, including handling, moving, and treating animals as required. Assisting with loading and unloading pigs in a safe and efficient manner. Maintaining clean and hygienic housing facilities in line with biosecurity protocols. Recording and reporting health, performance, and production information. Supporting breeding, farrowing, weaning, and finishing operations where required. Operating farm equipment and machinery safely. Adhering to all farm health and safety procedures.
The Applicant	Essential Requirements : Minimum 2 years' experience in pig farming or a similar livestock environment. Strong pig husbandry skills and knowledge of animal welfare standards. Experience in droving and safe livestock handling. Experience with loading livestock. Excellent work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills and attention to detail.
