Forestry Nursery Located in Wexford

This is a full-time role based in South Wexford, offering €14.50 per hour. As a General Nursery Operative, you will focus on tractor driving, machine operation, and maintenance to support the day-to-day running of a forest nursery.

Key duties include:

• Operating and maintaining tractors and nursery machinery.
• Carrying out essential nursery practices such as groundworks, spraying, fertilising, irrigation, and harvesting.
• Monitoring crops and reporting pest, disease, or other issues to the nursery manager.
• Working closely with other full-time and part-time staff.
• Participating in training courses for upskilling and health & safety.
• Attending monthly operational meetings.
• Assisting at other nursery bases as required.

Standard working hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work overtime and weekends when needed.

We are seeking a practical, skilled individual with a strong interest in machinery and land-based work.

Essential requirements:

• Proven experience with tractor driving and machine operation.
• Ability to maintain and service machinery.
• Enjoyment of outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
• Willingness to learn, upskill, and adapt to seasonal demands.
