Farm Solutions has been retained by one of Ireland's leading and largest forestry management companies who are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Forester to join their Northwest team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to develop their career and play an integral role in delivering professional forestry services.

The Forester will supervise and support forest establishment and management in the Northwest region. The role combines fieldwork, planning, client engagement, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will work closely with the Regional Forester.

Key Responsibilities

• Professional forest management

• Site inspections

• Licence applications, mapping and assessment

• Maintain existing client contracts while identifying and developing new business opportunities

• Manage and supervise on-site work of subcontractors

• Maintain industry standards on health and safety

• A recognised degree qualification in forestry at level 7/8 on the QQI Framework or equivalent

• Competence in GIS

• Previous forestry experience is an asset but not essential

• Strong IT skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities

• Enjoys working outdoors year-round

• Full clean driving licence
