We are seeking an experienced and motivated Farm Manager to oversee a progressive 350-cow dairy operation in South Kilkenny

This is a long-term opportunity for a skilled individual who is passionate about dairy farming and capable of leading a team to achieve high-performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of a large-scale dairy farm
• Oversee herd performance, health, and overall welfare
• Supervise and coordinate farm staff, ensuring efficient workflow
• Lead and motivate a small, diverse team to meet farm targets and KPIs
• Manage milking routines and parlour operations
• Implement effective grassland management and grazing strategies
• Operate and maintain farm machinery including tractors, loaders, diet feeders, and toppers
• Ensure best practices in animal husbandry and farm safety

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in dairy farming, ideally in a management role
• Strong knowledge of herd management, grassland management, and parlour systems
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
• Full Irish driving licence
• Experience operating a range of agricultural machinery
