| The Role | The successful candidate will assist in all key aspects of the dairy operation. Core responsibilities include milking duties, working in a clean and efficient parlour environment, ensuring the well-being of the cows, and maintaining high hygiene standards. The role also involves animal husbandry tasks such as monitoring cow health, calf rearing, assisting during calving, and identifying any signs of illness or distress. Feeding duties will be carried out using farm machinery, so confidence in operating tractors, diet feeders, or loading shovels is highly desirable. Other daily tasks include bedding, yard cleaning, fencing, and general farm maintenance. The role requires adaptability and a strong work ethic, as responsibilities may vary depending on the season and farm needs. |
