|The Farm||Seeking member of the team to complete share of the milking and general farm work on this 150 cow, family-run farm, which supplies a premium milk contract. Work will include a share of the milking of the herd through the herringbone parlour, yard work, feeding and bedding, so ability to operate tractor/telehandler preferred. Calf rearing is undertaken by another team member so no necessary for this role.
|The Role||With a total of 360 cattle on the farm, this is a varied role with a mix of the herd and young stock work. Someone with an interest in breeding and genetics would be ideal for this position, with the farm having a focus on pedigree, genetics and classification.|
|The Applicant||This family-run farm is keen to see young, perhaps lesser experienced people come through the system, train and progress and move onto high roles off the farm in due course. They are keen to see people progress, gain skills and knowledge.|
