| The Farm | The farm consists of 250 acres of prime grassland split into two blocks, 180 acres on the milking platform and 70 acres on an outfarm for rearing young stock and silage cutting. The farm milks 220 cows in a liquid milk production system in a 22 unit parlour. Good housing facilities on the farm |
| The Role | The role will involve assisting the herdowner in the day to day running of the farm. Milking, Feeding, Breeding and Grassland Management as well as machinery work will be expected. |
| The Applicant | The applicant needs to have experience in a similar role or 2 years general farm work experience on a dairy farm.Must have the usual range of farm skills alongside the ability to operate usual farm machinery such as slurry spreading, fertiliser spreading and able to operate the diet feeder and manage grassland. |
| Accommodation | Single status accommodation is available in a wing off the main dwelling house with good facilities. |
| Additional Info | The farmyard and is well laid out and very well maintained so a person who is interested in operating to the highest standards will be particularly interested in this role. |
