| The Farm | This is a top farm with 200 milking holstein cows located in a prime agricultural area between Watergrasshill and Fermoy. Hosting an up to date 20 unit parlour with ACRS and excellent wintering facilities this will prove to be a great place to work. |
| The Role | We are seeking an assistant herdsman/ general farm worker to assist the farm owner in ensuring the continued smooth operation of the enterprise.We expect that the position will be first filled in mid January 2020 but that from then on due to the increased workload on a expanding herd it is envisaged that the post will become permanent for a suitably skilled and motivated candidate. |
| The Applicant | Succcessful applicants will be able to demonstrate the ability to run the hands on elements of milking a herd of this size. They will have good experience of same and will be interested in expanding their know how in relation to calving cows, calf rearing, grass management and farm machiney operation |
| Accommodation | Currently there is no accommodation on the farm so applications from interested parties who can commute to the Rathcormac area are of particular interest. |
