We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Farm Manager to join a progressive commercial dairy farm in South Tipperary. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled dairy farm professional looking to take on a leadership role and contribute to the day-to-day management of a successful dairy operation.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Farm Manager and be capable of running the farm with minimal supervision when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily milking and dairy herd management
• Monitoring animal health and welfare
• Grassland management and grazing planning
• Assisting with breeding and herd husbandry activities
• Tractor driving for topping and general farm duties
• Fencing and farm maintenance work
• Supporting the overall management and operation of the farm

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience working on a commercial dairy farm
• Strong milking and dairy herd management skills
• Experience in grassland management and pasture-based systems
• Competent tractor driving skills
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for daily farm operations
• Good communication and organisation
