Tom has worked in a variety of roles within the organisation since his initial appointment in 1990. Previously, Tom trained as a farm manager through the Farm Apprenticeship Scheme and subsequently worked in that capacity on a number of Irish dairy farms. Tom has a Diploma in Personnel Management & Industrial relations from The National College of Ireland as well as a Diploma In Rural Development from University College, Dublin. In June 2010, Tom successfully completed a B.Sc Degree in Rural Development through University College, Dublin.

In the restructuring of The Solutions Group in 2001, he was appointed Manager of the newly formed Farm Solutions Company. He brings a practical experience and keen interest in farming and all things rural, complemented by many years experience of personnel management to the company. His role acts as the principle contact and service point with clients of the business.
